Make a request

Describe what you need

Fill out the form below. I check for conflicts of interest, then answer by email within one business day with the next step that fits your situation.

Request form

1 Your contact information
2 What you need

The name of the person or business on the other side of the matter, for example the employer or the other party to the contract. It is used to check for conflicts of interest.

A few sentences are enough. Do not include documents or confidential details: I will ask for them if needed, once the mandate is accepted.

3 How to reach you

Preferred way to communicate

Sending this form does not create a lawyer-client relationship and does not constitute legal advice. A mandate begins only after conflicts of interest have been checked and a mandate agreement has been signed.

Answer by email within 1 business day.

Frequently asked questions

Before you send your request

Does filling out the form commit me to anything?

No. Your request does not commit you to anything and does not create a lawyer-client relationship. It lets me check for conflicts of interest and suggest the right next step. The mandate begins only if you accept the service offer and sign the mandate agreement.

How soon will I get an answer?

I answer by email within one business day, Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays. Remember to check your junk mail folder.

Why can't I book an appointment directly?

Before advising you, I must check that I do not already represent the other party. Reading your request first also lets me suggest the right service and the right meeting length, instead of having you choose blindly.

How much do the services cost?

A legal consultation costs $100 for 30 minutes or $200 for 60 minutes, taxes included. Other services are offered as packages quoted on request: you know the amount before the work begins, and it is confirmed in writing in the mandate agreement.

Why do you ask for the other party's name?

It is a professional obligation for lawyers: I must make sure I am not already advising the person or business on the other side of your matter. The name is used only for that check.

I am not sure you can help me. What should I do?

Describe your situation anyway and choose “Not sure yet” in the list of services. If it falls outside my area of practice, I will tell you and point you to other resources.

Is my information protected?

Only Sophie Clément has access to the requests received. The privacy policy explains what is collected, why, where it is stored and for how long.
